Most people have regarded the Wolfenstein: The New Order as one of the best FPS games of this console generation, due to its intense action, incredible arsenals and its touching story. Impressive right? Wait till you hear about the release of the sequel to the Wolfenstein: The New Order, called the “Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus”.
About the Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
The Wolfenstein 2 is a continuation of the action-adventure first-person shooter Wolfenstein game series, and a sequel to the Wolfenstein: The New order, which takes its line of the story from the counterfactual History of the Nazis winning the Second World War. In the story, a war Veteran William “B.J.” Blazkowicz does all he can to fight against the Nazi Power.
The Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is said to continue from the New Order events, with Blazkowicz surviving and making it to the Nazi U-boat, which was hijacked by the resistance. He is in a bad state, as he is unable to walk and has to make use of a wheelchair.
The Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus picks up from where the Wolfenstein: the new order left off, with the war veteran Blazkowicz leaving Europe and taking the fight to America. The game is still a first-person perspective kind of game, which requires you to fight enemies throughout levels to progress through the story.
The Gameplay of the Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
As the Blazkowicz, you and the militant resistance will try to start a second America revolution against Nazis who have occupied America after their victory in the Second World War. Frau Engel (Nina Franoszek) hunts you in order to put a stop to the resistance.
In the game, you will have to fight enemies, whilst making use of a health system divided into separate sections. Each separate section regenerates and if all of a section is lost, it can be replenished by a health pack.
You can attack enemies with firearms, explosives, and use melee attacks. You can also jump, run, and sometimes swim to move from one location to the other.
Melee attacks can help you take down enemies silently and make you undetectable. You can ambush your enemies but this often leads to an intense exchange of fire between the two parties.
When fighting enemies, you have got the liberty to use a cover system, like the ability to lean around, over, and undercover.
You have a lot of weapons to select from and you can also customize weapons by using the upgrades. To gain access to as many weapons as you find, go to the weapon inventory
The beginning of Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus game
As usual, the game has you control Blazkowicz. Blazkowicz awakens from five months’ coma to find that the boat is being attacked by the Nazis. He is in a bad state, as he is unable to walk and has to make use of a wheelchair. So, he has to move around on his wheelchair to defend his crew from the Nazis.
The maximum health of Blazkowicz is slashed in half, so you might have to focus on collecting armors.
You can now pickup amours automatically. So you do not have to start running around and pressing a button just to collect armors.
There are also some new toys and guns you can play with, and that it includes the energy beams which can destroy the Nazis to a state of nonexistence. There is also the Hatchet that replaces your combat knife, and you can use it to make horrific melee kills.
As you move around, at the beginning of the Wolfenstein 2, you get to have a feel of intense combats, even from your wheelchair. Now, there is a new enemy in form of cyborg Nazi ninjas. This cyborg Nazi ninjas, in the blink of an eye, can dish out melee attacks.
